What are ACEOs???? ACEO is the acronym for "Art Cards Editions and Originals". An ACEO is a small piece of art that can be defined by it's convenient 2.5 x 3.5 inch size. (Standard trading card size)
ACEOs are VERY different from trading cards however, because they are CREATED and traded or sold by artists. All my ACEOs are absolute ORIGINAL pieces of art! (Some artists choose to sell prints of their work -'editions' )

ACEOs are created in any medium available in the art world. Artists are creating them in ALL kinds of styles and varieties. There are no rules limiting the artist, outside of the size dimensions. ACEOs can be framed, propped, used as bookmarks,grouped together in larger frames......use YOUR imagination! Trading Card notebooks, sleeves and holders can all be used to display them.

Entitled A is For...Alphabet, this is another mixed media ACEO currently for sale in my store.
This one is designed to hand and has a hook attached via 3 gold brads and a stunning vintage pendant embellishement as well as a photo negative attached over a window in the centre. Really unusual-I almost didn't sell this one,a definite collector's piece!

Mission complete! Caitlin's beautiful bridesmaid's flower clips are finished! I will request a photo of them after the wedding-I have seen a photo of the bridesmaid's dresses,and these have been hand painted to match fabric smaples- they will look amazing!

A few more glimpses into my sketchbook work-working from a live model,clockwise from top left-soft pencil using LEFT hand! (I am right handed!), pastels ,charcoal,pencil and putty rubber. Not flowing as comfortably as I would like do to some distractions and breaks between these, but there is potential for further work from these,the bottom drawing in particular.

Due to the heavy workload preparing for this year's trade show in Bath I haven't been able to get onto my blog and update as regularly as I would like to. I had to drop in today however to mention that I was contacted yesterday by a New York based blogger to say that one of my textile art brooches was featured on her 'HeartHandMade' Blog. New Sales Venue

The grand opening of the new Avellana Crafts store in Mevagissey, Cornwall was just before the Easter break-if you ever have the opportunity to visit this beautiful picturesque fishing village, with it's quaint cobbled streets crammed with amazing shops and galleries then do make sure this is one of the stores that you visit!
I am lucky enough to have work for sale through them myself and they also stock a huge array of cards,painting and jewellery-a truly lovely store!
